A post-birth fatality was recorded in Armenia’s Gyumri city, as 29-year-old Manushak Galstyan died days after delivering a baby. 

According to the information Armenian News-NEWS.am has ascertained, Galstyan underwent a Caesarean section to give birth to her child on Tuesday. But her health condition sharply deteriorated two days later and she was transferred to capital city Yerevan’s Erebuni Medical Center, with a very critical condition. Hours later, however, she lost her life at the reanimation department

While delivering her baby Manushak Galstyan was administered a C-section because the fetus was large. To note, the newborn is a boy and Manushak’s third child. She already had two daughters.  

The Health Ministry representative informed that they do not yet know the details of the incident and promised to inform later.
