A deadly crash occurred in Armenia’s Lori Region on Sunday.

A GAZ 21-model car collided with a Renault Premium-model trailer on the Spitak-Yerevan Highway at around 10:40pm, Armenian News-NEWS.am’s Lori reporter informed from the location.  

The trailer’s driver was Kharkiv, Ukraine, resident, 46-year old Valeri Skvartsov. 

As a result, GAZ 21’s driver, Armenia’s Vanadzor city resident, 60-70-year-old Samvel Khosrovyan died on the spot.  

Road Police officers and a Spitak city investigation department inspector are on the scene.

A criminal case is opened and an investigation is underway in connection with this incident.
