YEREVAN. - A 4.4-magnitude earthquake recorded by National Survey of Seismic Protection Agency on Wednesday at 8.21 pm local time. The quake epicenter was in about 26 km to north-west city of Akhar, Iran, Armenian News - NEWS.am was informed at press center of Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The tremor was recorded at a depth of 10 km with the 5-point strength which is located near latitude 38.51˚north, longitude 46.77˚ west. According to immediate reports, the quake was conceived in several Armenian townships by 2-3 point strength in the cities of Kapan and Kajaran particularly.
