An Azerbaijani, who is a citizen of Kazakhstan, had to spend two days at the airport of Azerbaijan’s capital city Baku, simply because of an Armenian stamp in his passport.

The airport’s passport control service officers did not allow Bayram Azizov—an official of the Beeline Kazakhstan Company—entry to Azerbaijan.

This scandal became known thanks to Azizov’s messages posted in his Twitter account. “They escorted me to the transit zone and took away my passport. They refused to give me food. I was deported from the country for the first time,” Bayram Azizov wrote.

The actions by the representatives of Azerbaijan’s authorities were dictated by the fact that the young man’s passport had a stamp of entry to Armenia.
