Armenia is interested in integration processes within CIS and EurAsEC, Armenian Premier Tigran Sargsyan said in an interview with Russia’s Izvestiya newspaper.

“The relationship between the CIS, EurAsEC and the European Union has been recently discussed. During the EU-Russia summit, Vladimir Putin gave a clear statement which we adhere to: these processes cannot be opposed, they should be regarded as complementary. Our priority is an agreement on a comprehensive free trade area. We want to sign it in 2013, while our European colleagues think that it will be in 2014,” Premier said.

Armenia has no border with the Customs Union and must work out mechanisms of cooperation.

“We have formed a working group that will help us to understand this,” Sargsyan said.
