Traffic along the Transcaucasian highway limited because of snowfall has been restored, RIA Novosti reported.

About 100 heavy trucks got stuck in the North Ossetian section of the border between Russia and Georgia in the Upper Lars checkpoint as the traffic was limited due to heavy snowfall.

Earlier it was reported that road Stepantsminda-Lars is only open to cars and buses with 30 sitting places.

Upper Lars checkpoint is the only Armenia’s overland commercial rout to Russia.
