Nearly 50 cars, with 200 passengers, got stuck near the Upper Lars checkpoint on the Russian-Georgian border.

Traffic through Upper Lars has been suspended since Sunday due to bad weather. Russia’s Emergency Ministry has set up two camps for the drivers to warm up and get hot food.

Police warns the drivers against getting closer to the Georgian border since the Upper Lars checkpoint is closed because of bad weather.

Upper Lars checkpoint is the only Armenia’s overland commercial rout to Russia.
