YEREVAN.- Denmark is utterly interested in the development of relations with Armenia, Denmark’s honorary consul Armand Pinarbasi told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“Denmark is especially interested in development of relations within the ENP scheme and EU Twinning framework, including EU Twinning project on strengthening of animal origin food and feed safety control in Armenia & EU Twinning project on strengthening the enforcement of intellectual property right in Armenia,” he explained.

Pinarbasi recalled that the Armenian-Danish relations have historical roots, going back to the years of the 1915th events, when Danish missionaries showed humanitarian position to the Armenian refuges and orphans. The Armenians felt the Danish humanitarian support in the year of 1988, when Denmark provided aid to the earthquake -torn Armenia, he added.

“The Danish Minister for European Affairs Mr. Vammen addressed a speech at the opening of the Armenian embassy where he noted that he highly appreciated the Armenian government’s decision to open diplomatic mission in Copenhagen, he also expressed satisfaction with the actively developing relations between both countries and hoped that the relations would seriously develop in the future,” honorary consul said.
