YEREVAN.- U.S. Ambassador to Armenia John Heffern posted a new video on his blog telling  about “Helping Hands” initiative set up at the embassy to organize charitable projects.

“Last year when my wife Libby and I arrived at the Embassy in Yerevan, we helped to set up a community service organization called ‘Helping Hands’,” he said.

“Helping Hands” is a group of Armenian and American embassy staff who are doing projects in Armenia’s regions in the areas of health, environment and working with young people with disabilities. There is also a bake sale to raise money for different events.

Last year the group visited Kharberd orphanage and a school of Lukashin community where they did repair works. They also organized a clean-up event in Hrazdan gorge.
