YEREVAN.- The opening of “Media Center” took place in Yerevan on Monday to present the wider public plans and missions the center will undertake during upcoming presidential election (photos).

The initiative is coordinated by the Public Journalism NGO and is supported by the Open Society Foundations, Counterpart International Armenia and USAID, by the Dutch Embassy in Tbilisi and British embassy in Armenia.

The aim of the center is to concord the efforts of the civil society and the media by bridging NGOs which monitor and observe elections, the civil societies, journalists and mass media.

The Media Center plans to be active at all the stages of the elections and especially on the Election Day.
