YEREVAN.- President Serzh Sargsyan said Armenia has a firm position on the settlement of Karabakh conflict which complies with the stance of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs.

On the last day of election campaign, candidate Sargsyan met with voters in Yerevan.

Asked which programs he would like to implement, but failed, Sargsyan said it is returning Karabakh talks to a normal pace. “I think, we managed,” he added.

“It is not only my job, we were working as a team. Half a year ago, at a very important stage in the negotiations, Azerbaijan rejected the co-chairs’ offers. We told that, although the document is not the project of our dreams, it gives us the opportunity to adequately complete this stage of the struggle. If the offer were good for Azerbaijan, they would have signed the document,” President said.

“Thanks to the courage and high morale of soldiers, our borders are inviolable,” he emphasized.

Speaking about Armenia’s achievements in 20 years, President Sargsyan expressed confidence that in 2033 the Karabakh conflict will be settled. Armenia will become a European country, a small but developed, and the social problems will be solved.

The sixth presidential election in Armenia will be held on February 18.
