YEREVAN. – February 19 is the day to remember about the monstrous crime committed by Azeri killer Ramil Safarov nine years ago.

Azerki killer Safarov along with Armenian Gurgen Margaryan and Hayk Makuchyan attended at the NATO Partnership for Peace program in 2004.

Safarov axed Margaryan on Feb. 19, while failed to realize his monstrous action against the second Armenian serviceman.

After a court trial, in April 13, 2006, the Azeri killer was sentenced for life in prison without the right for amnesty for 30 years.

However, he was extradited on Aug. 31, 2012, from Hungary to his homeland, Azerbaijan, pardoned and proclaimed a hero for the crime he committed. The same day Armenia suspended diplomatic relations with Hungary.
