YEREVAN.- Central Electoral Commission continues issuing preliminary results of the presidential elections. As of 11:15pm, 1.42 percent of votes have been counted.
Serzh Sargsyan got 68.9 percent of votes (14,862votes), followed by Raffi Hovannisian – 27.24 percent (5,876votes) of votes. Vardan Sedrakyan polled 1.48 percent (320).
Hrant Bagratyan got 1.06 percent (229). Three candidates Paruyr Hayrikyan (0.8%), Andreas Ghukasyan (0.32%) and Arman Melikyan (0.18%) got less than one percent of votes.
Note that on Monday the Presidential Elections were held in Armenia. Seven candidates were running for the presidency: the incumbent President and leader of ruling Republican Party Serzh Sargsyan, the leader of Heritage Party Raffi Hovannisian, former Armenian Prime Minister Hrant Bagratyan, head of the Association National Self-Determination Paruyr Hayrikyan, political scientist Andreas Ghukasyan, former Karabakh Foreign Minister Arman Melikyan and epos specialist Vardan Sedrakyan.
