12:57, 21.02.2013 Region: Armenia Theme: Politics

YEREVAN.- Armenian presidential candidate Hrant Bagratyan called on Raffi Hovannisian and Serzh Sargsyan to sit at the negotiating table.

“We witnessed regular not free and unfair elections,” he wrote on Facebook. Bagratyan recalled that just as in 1996, 2003, 2008, people care for their votes putting forward fair and constitutional demands.

“I see the authorities and opposition are willing to hold talks. Thus, I call on Raffi Hovannisian and Serzh Sargsyan to sit at the negotiating table and try to find the way out of the situation. Otherwise, it will be impossible to avoid further escalation and clashes,” Bagratyan said.

Hrant Bagratyan asked not to consider his proposal as a provocation or interference. He believes one meeting can change much and the parties must not miss an opportunity.
