YEREVAN.- A rally in support of former presidential candidate, head of opposition Heritage party Raffi Hovannisian kicked off in Liberty Square of Yerevan.

Opening the rally, Hovannisian congratulated the participants on birthday of military commander Vazgen Sargsyan, the Armenian correspondent reports.

He once again called on the authorities to transfer power to people, adding they will be held accountable for their actions.

Speaking about his petition to the Constitutional Court (CC), opposition leader said he “gave the last chance to the Constitutional Court judges.”

“We are giving them a chance to register people’s victory,” he said, addressing rally participants.

Hovannisian noted that the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group “took an illegal step”, recognizing the illegitimate authorities.
