YEREVAN.- Opening of the first comprehensive palliative care service in Armenia will take place in the national cancer center at Armenia’s Health Ministry on March 18.
Palliative care service is created by the instruction of President Serzh Sargsyan, Health Ministry’s press service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
Over 3,000 people throughout Armenia need palliative care every day. The new service can not fully meet the needs of all patients, but nevertheless, this is a step forward. In the coming years it will serve as a basic structure for other services to be created on the territory of Armenia.
