February 16, American and Canadian papers sniped Azerbaijani national team’s uniform at the parade of Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics. In particular, local press was surprised at sportsmen’s uniform with motley ornaments. “The party of five sported paisley pants-a print no doubt making its Olympic debut-in, blue, red and green, which mirrored the national flag — a nice, if not particularly subtle touch,” New York Times correspondent reports.

Indeed, the pants of the athletes were like kids pajamas and in no way conform to white jackets and concolor fur caps.

Azerbaijani National Olympic Committee failed to reply to TURAN Agency who designed the multicolored pants for the sportsmen.
