Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev publically claims there is an essential difference between universal human values and Azerbaijani national values.

During his speech at the Muslim Novruz Bayram festival, Aliyev stressed that Azerbaijani government is committed to the national values and not to European universal values, haqqin.az informs.

“Of course, we share common human values and have respect for European values. However, our national values, Azerbaijani values, are ​​above all for us. Modern independent Azerbaijani state is built on a solid foundation. Today Azerbaijan is developing rapidly and successfully in all directions,” Aliyev said.

What exactly is the essence of “national Azerbaijani values”?

The president did not explain, however, if one draws conclusions based on the actions of Azerbaijani authorities, it can be argued that among the “values” is a brutal assassination of a sleeping person. Yes, that is true.
