A 5.2-magnitude earthquake hit the Caucasus. The tremor was felt in the Dompay alpine skiing resort of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic, Russia

The seismic activity was recorded at 2:35am Armenia time. Its hypocenter was ten kilometers beneath the surface, the Russian Geophysical Service informed. 

The epicenter of the underground shaking was in Georgia where, in all likelihood, it measured 5.6, Komsomolskaya Pravda reports, referring to the press service of the North Caucasus General Department of the Emergency Situations Ministry of Russia.   

No information is received with respect to damages, casualties, or injuries.
