YEREVAN. – Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) MP Vahan Babayan reflected on the statement by opposition Heritage Party Chairman, former FM Raffi Hovannisian—who was declared runner-up to the winner, incumbent President Serzh Sargsyan, as a result of the presidential election that was conducted on February 18, but who claims to be the real winner in the vote—, who had said that PAP has to decide on which side it stands.

“The Prosperous Armenia Party is an alternative [political force] and, when expressing political views, we take into consideration our alternative approach to many issues,” Babayan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

To the query as to whether he agrees with Hovannisian, who said the moment of truth draws near for PAP, Babayan responded that this is a rhetorical question.

“This question is irrelevant because PAP works to be able to organize the process of becoming a more thriving, better country, and our activities are transparently visible in the parliament, too,” Vahan Babayan maintained.

To note, Raffi Hovannisian had stated that the moment of truth draws near for all political parties, including PAP.

“The time to make a decision approaches for each and everyone. Prosperous Armenia likewise is no exception; it has to decide on which side it stands,” he had stressed.
