YEREVAN. – Information was received from the National Seismic Protection Service of Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES), on Monday at 11am Armenia time, that an earthquake measuring 3.3 magnitude hit Azerbaijan, at 10:13am local time, ten kilometers west of Gyanja city.
The tremor measured 4 magnitude at the epicenter area and its hypocenter was ten kilometers beneath the surface, the MES press service informs.
But the underground shaking was not felt in Armenia.
