YEREVAN. – An event, entitled “Battlefront Photograph from Family Archives,” will be held Thursday at the Children’s Park and the Lovers’ Park in Armenia’s capital, Yerevan.

For several hours these two parks will turn into staged squares of the war years.    

The military photos, which the event participants will bring along, will be gathered in an exclusive album of the recollections of World War II. 

Concerts of war songs will be held, as well, and the visitors will get familiar with the Armenian heroes’ contribution in the World War II victory over fascism.   

On Wednesday, an evening of songs devoted to Victory Day will take place. In addition, a rally-requiem ceremony will take place nearby the fifteen monument-fountains in Yerevan’s Hrazdan Gorge.   

Thursday’s celebratory events will kick off in the morning with the placing of wreaths to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Victory Park. An evening of poetry and music likewise will be held on the same day.
