YEREVAN. – An incident occurred during a conference between the members of the Commission of Wise Men and the local media representatives of Manisa, Turkey.

During the talk between the local media representatives and the members of the Commission of Wise Men—which the Turkish authorities have set up to resolve the country’s Kurdish issue—, Mevlut Cirakoglu, the owner of Manisa Gunebakis newspaper, attempted to hang a Turkish in the conference hall, Milliyet daily of Turkey informs.

At that point, Commission of Wise Men member, renowned Turkish historian and publicist, Baskin Oran reacted by claiming that Cirakoglu was carrying out a provocation.

The police removed Mevlut Cirakoglu from the hall, but, outside, he shouted in anger that there was no Turkish flag in the conference hall, and therefore he wanted to hang one.
