YEREVAN. – All of Armenia’s elite, around 1,000 people, had come together Tuesday evening in the entertainment and banquet hall that is built by Prosperous Armenia Party Chairman, businessman Gagik Tsarukyan, Hraparak daily reports.   

“The two presidents of Armenia were at the center. [Belarus President Alexander] Lukashenko was sitting on one side of [President] Serzh Sargsyan and [second President] Robert Kocharyan, [was sitting] on the other side. 

Long-forgotten individuals that had left the political scene were sitting around the tables. Tsarukyan had decided to hold an unprecedented nationwide gathering, with participation by the representatives from all [political] fields. 

A group that had arrived from Israel opened the concert program of the evening [and], subsequently, Russian and Armenian groups performed. They began the feast by drinking toasts to the opening of the church [likewise built by Tsarukyan], then to the parents, and third, to Serzh Sargsyan.  

[But] Serzh Sargsyan and Lukashenko left one and a half hours later, since Lukashenko had to head [back] to Belarus,” Hraparak writes.
