STEPANAKERT. – Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), or Artsakh, President Bako Sahakyan on Saturday arrived in Armenia’s Syunik Region on a working visit.

Sahakyan visited the Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Plant and got familiar with its activities, Central Information Department of the Office of the NKR President informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

On the same day, the NKR leader laid a wreath to the Garegin Njdeh Memorial, which is located in the Syunik regional center, the City of Kapan.

Subsequently, Sahakyan visited the local dairy and meat processing factory and got acquainted with its manufacturing process.

President Sahakyan noted that Syunik Region has an extensive track-record and a potential for industrial development, whose study and application will have a positive impact on the development of a variety of industrial branches in Artsakh.

Next, Bako Sahakyan visited the Tatev Monastic Complex.

Syunik Governor Suren Khachatryan, NKR officials, and the heads of numerous organizations of Syunik accompanied the President.
