Russian President Vladimir Putin and his wife Lyudmila announced about their divorce, Russia 24 channel reports.

Lyudmila Putina said that it was a "civilized divorce." At the same time she added that Vladimir Putin pays enough attention to their children.

Putin himself stressed that his life is related to publicity, while there are people "absolutely incompatible" with that.
