YEREVAN. – Iran will hold presidential elections on June 14. One of the polling stations will open in Armenia’s capital Yerevan, Iranian Ambassador said.

Mohammad Raiesi said the embassy building will host a polling station which will work from 8am till 8pm.

This is the eleventh presidential vote after the Islamic Revolution. Since then, Iran has held 28 elections, including 10 presidential votes.

Asked about possible electoral violations, Ambassador said they happen sometimes.

“We must respect people’s will. Any violation recorded during the vote is betrayal of interests of people,” he said.
