The large-scale export of eggs from Armenia to Georgia is unlikely to be restored, Chairperson Zurab Uchumbegashvili of the Association of Georgian Poultry Enterprises told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
Considering the fact that Georgia has completely passed to the industrial production of eggs, such trends will hardly occur, he added.
To note, a large-scale export of eggs was conducted from Armenia to Georgia up until 2010. Subsequently, however, this export had a situational nature.
“[But] now, the cost price of the eggs is virtually the same in Armenia and in Georgia, [and] therefore one another’s markets do not interest the poultry farms of our country,” Uchumbegashvili stated.
