YEREVAN. – An international conference, titled “Participatory Democracy at Local Level,” will be held on Wednesday in Armenia’s capital, Yerevan.

The event will be held within the framework of Armenia’s newly-assumed chairmanship at the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe (CoE), and in collaboration with the CoE Congress of Local and Regional Authorities.    

Armenia’s Deputy PM and Territorial Administration Minister Armen Gevorgyan, aforesaid Congress President Herwig van Staa, and Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan will deliver opening remarks at the conference, which will include separate discussions on several topics. 

At the closing of the event, Herwig van Staa, and Armenia’s First Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration, Vache Terteryan, will sum up the results of the thematic discussions.
