YEREVAN. – Armenia’s President Serzh Sargsyan on Monday received renowned Spanish writer Gonzalo Guarch. 

The official presentation of the Russian-language publication of Guarch’s three documentary novels, which are devoted to the Armenian Genocide, was held recently in capital city Yerevan, the President’s Press Office informs. 

Sargsyan expressed his gratitude to the Spanish writer for reflecting on the history of the Armenian nation and presenting the genocide in Spanish and, now, in Russian. As per the President, this is an example of true friendship and love and the restoration of historical justice. Highly appreciating the writer’s work, Sargsyan awarded the Movses Khorenatsi Medal to the Spanish writer.    

In his turn, Gonzalo Guarch thanked President Sargsyan for the high reward and the warm words, and he stressed that he will wear this medal with pride and honor and try to be worthy of this great reward.

At the end of the talk, Serzh Sargsyan wished the Spanish writer health and creative success.
