A meeting in the format of deputy heads of mission of NATO member states + Armenia was held in the Alliance headquarters in Brussels on June 24.

Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Ashot Hovakimyan and Deputy Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan participated in the meeting. The report on assessment of Armenia-NATO Individual Partnership Action Plan (IPAP) for 2012-2013 was discussed.

In his speech, Ashot Hovakimyan touched upon political dialogue between Armenia and the Alliance, preparation for the next IPAP for 2014-2015, presented the negotiation process on finding settlement of the Karabakh conflict.

In his turn, Davit Tonoyan spoke about the reforms of the Armenian Armed Forces, educational program and participation of Armenian troops in peacekeeping operations.

Representatives of the Alliance gave high appraisal of Armenia’s cooperation with NATO, expressing support for the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group.

During the visit to Brussels, Armenian officials met with NATO Secretary General’s Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia. They discussed further development of Armenia-NATO dialogue and regional problems.
