Armenia’s Ambassador to Denmark Hrachya Aghadjanyan handed in award to the former rector of the Aarhus University, the philosopher, expert on Armenian studies Henning Lehmann.

On June 25, the Unievrsity hosted a solemn event dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the professor.

Henning Lehmann was awarded Movses Khorenatsi medal assigned by the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan for his considerable contribution to the development of Armenian studies and activities that contribute to spreading of Armenian culture.

“His research is invaluable and opened a new chapter in the known and the unknown pages of the mutual influence of the churches of West and East,” Aghajanyan said.

The meeting was attended by the university professors, scientists, politicians, journalists, and students.
