YEREVAN. - Armenia plans to significantly intensify partnership with European Union soon.

According to the Armenian MFA, during the EU Eastern Partnership (EaP) summit that will take place in November in Vilnius, Armenia will pre-sign Association Agreement with EU, which allows deepening Armenia’s political association and economic integration with the EU, including a deep and comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA).

During his meeting with EaP officials in Brussels on Thursday, Armenia’s deputy FM Zohrab Mnatsakanyan expressed readiness to pre-sign the agreement in November Vilnius, Armenian MFS informs Armenian News-NEWS.am. Mnatsakanyan stressed the significance of Eastern Partnership for Armenia and noted that the negotiations on Association Agreement as well as the Agreement on Free Trade Area (DCFTA) are almost completed.

European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighborhood Policy Stefan Fule stressed that concerning the Association Agreement, Free Trade Area (DCFTA) Agreement, and the Visa Facilitation and Readmission Agreement, the EU supports “more – for more” standard, which allows more investments in return to more reforms.
