STEPANAKERT. – Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), or Artsakh, President Bako Sahakyan on Monday was on hand at the planned army command staff assembly, and he delivered remarks.

The Commander-in-Chief of the NKR Armed Forces qualified army-building as a key direction of Artsakh’s activities, Central Information Department of the Office of the NKR President informs. He underlined that it was impossible to imagine the independent Armenian statehood and its secure future without the strong and combat-ready armed forces.

Sahakyan also noted that, with this profound consciousness, everything possible was and will be done to raise the combat-readiness of the armed forces, modernize its technical equipment, maintain the unshakable spirit of the army, and improve the social and living conditions of the defenders of the homeland.

The President gave corresponding instructions to the highest-ranking command staff of the armed forces, to properly organize the assembly.
