YEREVAN. – Armenian PM Tigran Sargsyan on Thursday has sent a message of condolence to his Spanish counterpart Mariano Rajoy in connection with the passenger train crash.

“We are sharing the grief and pain of the Spanish people. I ask you to extend our words of sympathy and comfort to the family members and friends of the victims,” Armenian PM’s message reads.  

At least 77 were killed and 143 were injured as a passenger train derailed not far from the northwestern Spanish city of Santiago de Compostela. There are 13 overturned carriages. According to some reports, speeding was a likely cause of the tragic accident.
