YEREVAN. – Since Jan. 2013, Armenian police traced and revealed in the Internet 800 pornographic videos involving underage, Armenian News-NEWS.am reports. This was announced during joint session of Armenian and Russian law enforcement agencies in Russian City of Sochi.

During the same period, it was discovered that child porn videos were disseminated in the cyberspace by 2,835 users from 66 countries, Armenian Police press-service informs.

According to the press-service, during the session it was stressed that the development of communication technologies creates advantageous conditions for the illegal uses of these technologies. Thus, in 2012, 10,227 cases of cybercrime were registered in the territory of Russian Federation, and 50 similar cases were registered in the Armenian territory.

According to police, the circumstances require closer cooperation between law enforcement agencies of different states to prevent cybercrime.

The session was closed with speeches by chiefs of Armenian and Russian police, Lt. General Vladimir Gasparyan and Col. General Vladimir Kolokoltsev.
