YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Agriculture Minister Sergo Karapetyan on Wednesday received Iranian Ambassador Mohammad Reisi.

The minister pointed to the need to broaden Armenian-Iranian ties, and stressed that the two peoples can establish closer partnership ties and expand turnover in agriculture, informs the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Agriculture.    

Ambassador Reisi approved the proposal, and noted that there is more potential for cooperation and an effort should be made to make it more inclusive.    

The Armenian agriculture minister informed the Iranian ambassador that the memorandum of understanding, which was ratified during his official visit to Iran, assumes broader formats for cooperation.   

The Iranian diplomat in turn expressed willingness to continue the implementation of the previously reached agreements and contribute to the deepening of cooperation.
