According to preliminary data, the shepherd, who was wounded at the Armenian-Turkish boundary, had fired upon the Russian border guards.   

Sergei Grechin, Head of the Press Service of the Armenia Border Department of the Russian Federation (RF) Federal Security Service, informed the above-said to ITAR-TASS News Agency of Russia. 

Mustafa Ulker, a 35-year-old Turkish shepherd, had trespassed the Armenian border. He had fired upon the Russian border guards that monitor the border, and subsequently attempted to advance into Armenia. The Russian border guards had opened fire in response, and wounded the border trespasser.   

In turn Anadolu news agency of Turkey notes that Ulker had crossed into the Armenian border to go after its flock of sheep. He was wounded and he died sometime thereafter.
