YEREVAN. – The requiem event for Azat Gasparyan—the Armenian famous film and theater actor, People’s Artist of Armenia, USSR State Prize and Movses Khorenatsi Medal recipient—will be held on Sunday.  

“In the person of Azat Gasparyan, the Armenian culture lost a dedicated and patriotic artist, a true intellectual, whose memory will always remain in the hearts of all.

“The civil requiem [ceremony] for Azat Gasparyan will take place on [Sunday,] August 4, at Saint Hovhannes Church [in capital city Yerevan]. The last farewell [ceremony] will be held on August 5, at Sundukyan National Academic Theatre. The funeral [will be held on the same day] at Yerevan’s city pantheon,” specifically reads the statement by the Government commission in charge of organizing Gasparyan’s interment.
