YEREVAN. – There were an unprecedented number of guests, from about sixty countries, at the swearing-in ceremony of Iran’s new President Hassan Rohani.

Iranian Studies specialist Rudik Yaralyan noted the abovementioned during a press conference on Tuesday.

Yaralyan also reflected on Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan’s attendance to the event. He noted that everything had gone well, except for the fact that an Iranian medium had disseminated inaccurate information that, when entering the hall, Sargsyan had not greeted Turkish FM Ahmet Davutoglu.

But the analyst noted that he does not think this was a manifestation of a pronounced anti-Armenian policy, since the Turkish media did not touch upon such information.
