Annual trade turnover between Armenia and Iran has exceeded $380 million despite sanctions, Armenian official said.

Head of Iran-Armenia’s Joint Chamber of Commerce Leon Aharounian noted that the annual trade exchanges between the two countries surpassed $380mln, over 90% of which pertains to (the import of) Iranian goods, Fars agency reported. He also said that the figure is planned to reach $1bln.

He also recalled that Iran and Armenia plan to build a 170mw power plant on Aras River.
