Armenia has been included in the top ten of the most popular spots among Russian pilgrims together with Israel, Greece, Bulgaria, Italy, Russia, Ukraine (Crimea), Serbia, Tunisia and Abkhazia.

The religious tourism has registered growth in Russia over the last month, Interfax reported quoting Oktogo.ru onlie booking service.

According to the booking portal, Armenia is one of the world’s most popular pilgrimage centers, as there are more than 25,000 monuments in the country.  Here you can see cells of the first hermit monks hidden in the mountains, the portal writes.
