YEREVAN. – Six mushroom poisoning cases have been registered in Armenia since the beginning of 2013, Health Ministry said.

Eight people were affected in Kotayk, Lori and Ararat Regions of Armenia. The Ministry said the first symptoms of mushroom poisoning include nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. Once the symptoms appear, you must consult a doctor.

To avoid poisoning, doctors warn against picking and buying unknown mushrooms. The Ministry said mushrooms can be sold only in shops and markets with documents provided by the relevant inspection department.
