The Edward Snowden story is given much more attention and importance than it actually has, Russian political analyst Alexander Khramchikhin believes.

Asked by Armenian News-NEWS.am about possible chill in US-Russia relation in connection with Snowden factor, he noted that relations between Moscow and Washington had never been warm, at least since World War II.

Earlier American leader said Washington’s decision to cancel the meeting with Vladimir Putin is not related to the Snowden case only. Barack Obama noted “a number of emerging differences” on key issues between the states, including those on Syria and human rights. “I don’t have a bad personal relationship with Putin,” Obama said.
