YEREVAN. – The recent increase in the university tuition fees has caused new discontent at the Government of Armenia, Hraparak daily reports. 

“The rectors’ claims that, with that [increase] they are resolving the salary matter, technical upgrading, or social issues, have given rise to suspicion.  

“The Finance Ministry Control Inspectorate soon could enter the institutions of higher education. They will try to find out, with inspections, as to which ‘priority’ directions whereby the money of the institutions of higher education was spent to this day and why they are not enough to provide either a high salary or quality education,” Hraparak writes.
