YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Ashot Hovakimyan on Thursday met with the relatives of Hakob Injighulyan and informed them that FM Edward Nalbandian is on vacation, and therefore he cannot meet with them.   

Hakob’s brother, Arman Injighulyan told the aforesaid to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Hovakimyan also had said that they do not have diplomatic ties with Azerbaijan, but they are doing everything to bring Hakob back.  

“He also informed that they will meet with Dragana Rankovic, Envoy of the International Committee of the Red Cross Office in Yerevan, tomorrow [Friday] at 11am, to discuss what they are doing and what the [Armenian] Ministry [of Foreign Affairs] can do,” Arman Injighulyan added.       

To note, Hakob Injighulyan’s relatives had gathered across the Armenian MFA building Thursday and they were demanding a talk with FM Edward Nalbandian.

As Armenian News-NEWS.am informed earlier, Armenian soldier Hakob Injighulyan (born in 1991) found himself in the territory under the control of the adversary. According to preliminary information, Injighulyan turned up there on August 8 at around 3am, while carrying out his military service, by crossing the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic-Azerbaijan border, and as a result of losing his orientation in the area.
