The court of Egypt has ordered to release former president Hosni Mubarak, BBC reported.

Former president was sentenced to life in jail charged with corruption, ordering the killing of protesters during the 2011 uprising. In April court ruled he had no direct links to the killings.

A retrial was ordered after Mubarak appealed the verdict.

According to BBC, it is not clear whether he would be set free on Wednesday.
