Hosni Mubarak will stay in jail for 48 hours after the court of Egypt ordered his release.

According to CNN, the prosecutors can still appeal the decision.

As reported earlier, the court ordered the releases of former president on Wednesday.

Former president was sentenced to life in jail charged with corruption, ordering the killing of protesters during the 2011 uprising. In April court ruled he had no direct links to the killings. A retrial was ordered after Mubarak appealed the verdict.
