A woman will assume the post of spokesperson for Iranian Foreign Ministry.

The acting spokesperson for Iran's Foreign Ministry Seyed Abbas Araqchi told reporters that his successor will be introduced by next week.

Araqchi added that his ministry has also decided to send a female ambassador to overseas mission, IRNA agency reported.

The representative of the Iranian MFA noted that female diplomats could play effective and successful roles in the field of foreign policy.
