STEPANAKERT. – President of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) signed decrees on handing over awards to in connection with the 22nd anniversary of NKR proclamation, president’s press service reported.

For personal bravery shown during the defense of the Motherland five individuals, four of them posthumously, were awarded the Medal “For Courage”.

 For contribution to the defense of the Motherland, as well as for courage shown defending state borders, 135 individuals, among them eight posthumously, were awarded the “For Service in Battle” medal.

For substantial contribution to the national security maintenance two individuals were awarded the “For Service in Battle” medal.

For services shown to the Nagorno-Karabakhкh Republic in state-building, in the fields of economy, culture, education and information two individuals were awarded the “Mkhitar Gosh” medal, three people were awarded “Vachagan Barepasht” medal and twenty three individuals were awarded “Gratitude” medal.
